La Punta Villa: Capturing the Aegean Light

As MVVISULAB, creating the 3D visualization for the La Punta Villa on Naxos was a great opportunity to discover the talented Plinthos Architects and the way they think and design. The project, which was a nominee for the ArchDaily's Building of the Year 2025 awards, deserved a visualization that would honor its unique design.

My focus was on capturing the essence of the Aegean. I spent significant time on lighting setups to simulate how the intense Greek sun interacts with the villa's surfaces. The way shadows are cast by the pergolas and how the light reflects on the plaster and the hand-cut local stone was crucial. These details are what give the villa its character and a sense of belonging to the landscape.
